Repair Process
Tool & Equipment Drop-Off
You can drop off your repair at any of our 14 Northern California locations. Work with the in-store sales team to complete the necessary paperwork to ensure repair accuracy and tracking.
Transfer to Repair Locations
We utilize our inter-branch logistics system to transfer your repair to one of our designated repair locations quickly and safely.
Designated Repair Locations
Our Hayward and Modesto locations maintain a deep inventory of parts for quick tool turnaround with a team of professional repair technicians to repair the industry's top brands.
Technicians Inspect Repair
Our team of trained technicians completes a thorough inspection of all tool & equipment repairs:
- Mechanical Parts: All gears, spindles bearings and housings are inspected for wear and possible damage.
- Cords & Plugs: All unsafe, damaged or modified stranded wire cords are replaced by a manufacture original or UL approved power cord to comply with Federal regulations.
- Safety Approved: Upon completion, all tools are tested to regular operation standards to assure they have been restored back to safe operating condition.
Contact from Repair Service Writer
Following inspection, you will be contacted by our Repair Service Writer to review the status of the repair. Repairs are handled using our documented repair policies.
Transfer Back to Drop-Off Location*
Once a tool has been inspected, repaired and tested by one of our trained technicians, we'll send the repair back to the original drop-off location.
Repair Process & Pick-Up
Upon return to the drop-off location, our customer service team will promptly contact you for order processing and pick-up.
Repair Policies
Repair
Tools will be repaired if repair costs are less than the CST maximum repair cost. (An estimated 50% of the cost of a new tool).
Estimate
Upon request, an estimate will be prepared and communicated to the customer before the tool is repaired. Estimate fees are charged prior to inspection.
Warranty Policy
Our technicians will determine whether or not the tool is covered under warranty. All tools are subject to inspection and may or may not qualify for warranty.
90 Day Service Guarantee**
All CST repairs are guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of repair.
