A Class A first aid kit is designed to handle typical, minor workplace injuries, while a Class B first aid kit is equipped with a wider variety and greater quantity of supplies to address more complex or severe injuries in high-risk work environments, including items like splints and tourniquets, which are not typically found in a Class A kit; both classifications adhere to the ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 standard for workplace first aid kits.
